Festivals
Brittany's remarkable religious heritage has produced all sorts of sights and events, most renowned of which perhaps are the various "Pardons". There are events of all kinds throughout the year in Cap Sizun, many of them in the vicinity of Audieme. Walking tours and excursions In town, in the country or by the sea - there are many delightful routes and guided excursions to choose from. Local craft and industry Audieme's marina, its shellfish storage tanks, its specialist bakeries and also its snail-breeding at Goulien are well worth a visit. Wild life and nature The Reserve de Goulien Cap Sizun - (tel: 02 98 70 13 53), on the wild granite cape, is home to colonies of seabirds. And the magnificient cliffs at the furthest tip of Cap Sizun. La Pointe du Raz, with the Pointe du Van to the north, also make a most rewarding and educational day out. The Ile de Sein, across the water from the Pointe du Raz, is accessible by regular boat after a short drive from le Manoir. Architecture and museums Included among the many historical sites of interest are the church at St Tugen, the St Raymond Church at Audieme, and the Museum at Pont Croix. There's also a guided tour of Old Audieme. |
